In a former life I practiced as a psychotherapist & was privileged to help many people. This model of helping was confining to the expert & the other. Yet as Martin Buber said the real life was in the meeting of two equals at a much deeper level.

So Crisfel, myself and several friends started to toy with this idea of a non-therapy, therapy! We wanted to get away from the pathology and the idea that we fix people and then put them back on a horse that is a rather deranged animal. (The normal world!)
We wanted to develop a new way of seeing the world as we considered it was the values of the modernity world, its competitiveness & materialism that were the problem.
We believe that new way involved becoming clear firstly of who we are.

So the model that emerged, pun intended was this website. I was fascinated by the number of clients I saw over a long time who had, other worldly experiences. I certainly had had many & so had many of my friends. Noone seemed to be interested in taking them any further.

When we look for answers they are not forthcoming fast! There are religions, therapies, eastern thoughts, psychology, meditation, psychics & new age remedies yet so many dead ends and wrong turns as Jung said.

The idea of this website is to share the journey. To share our own ideas but to honour the process of one's own experience. The key word is experience, the territory, not the map. So lets minimize the theories & assertions but share the what and see how it hangs together.

For this reason we have included a forum to discuss experiences & personal ideas, yours, not some guru, not some expert. Trust yourself!
We are happy to assist where people are struggling with the applications of emergence in their life.

For example I invented the communications package called CPR (Creative Progressive Responding). This is a kit of skills aimed at helping the other person, especially a partner to empathize but with a view towards Emergence, hence it is a very positive teamwork model.
